2026 sees the return of the Sandy Krak Reef Festival! After a momentous festival in 2024, this years Sandy will celebrate its 5th anniversary and is set to be the seminal event for our region. 10+ bands, local and afar, will take to the stage to entertain the audience with a range of genres from Rock to Reggae, Indy, Pop, and Metal. Expect a fantastic array of art centred workshops, activities, and market stalls, wrapped up in an eco-friendly, culturally rich sandy blanket. There’s more! Masher Designs will be creating a live art piece on the day! The Sandy Krak Reef Festival, it's an event not to be missed!
The Sandy Krak began when local band the Masters of Mayhem wanted to perform in Emu Park. Not only did they play, but they brought a variety of friends and peers in the local music and art scene to join them and thus, The Sandy Krak was born!
Since our humble beginnings we are now bringing you a festival that intertwines art, music, culture, sustainability and looking after the Reef! We are now known as the 'Sandy Krak Reef Festival'. The Festival hosts a range of market stalls, beach clean-ups, kids activities, workshops, local musical talent, live art and more!
